Baldwin County Schools announce they will permanently close to celebrate Mardi Gras

The Baldwin County Board of Education came together today to decide on a major change to the school holiday schedule. Currently, the schools are out the full week of Mardi Gras, not because there are many parades that week, but mostly to sit back and laugh at the parents scrambling to find childcare. The board felt that one 1 week however was not sufficient. The motion was then passed to permanently close each school in Baldwin County year round so that each individual day could be fully devoted to Mardi Gras celebration.
