Fairhope enlists teenage girls in Land Rovers to shuttle tourists to Arts & Crafts Festival this year.

To really put the "Fairhope" in to the Fairhope Arts & Crafts festival, the City has enlisted a fleet of 12 Brand New Range Rovers that will shuttle tourists from the Piggly Wiggly parking lot. The expense of this stunt is high, but the council has helped hedge the cost by forcing their teenage daughters to drive the Range Rovers, a task they're not complaining about either. The teenage girls will not by paid for the three days of 8 hour shifts saving the city thousands of dollars, but they will get unlimited cell phone minutes and bottomless Latte's from Refuge Coffee.

Local commuters will be discouraged from using Fairhope avenue during the event hours as traffic will be heavy, and the parade of teenage girls in the Range Rovers might be dangerous for those without lightning quick reflexes. Tourists and locals using the shuttle system will also pay a small fee of $5 per trip, and although tipping is discouraged, you can pay another $5 to have them turn off their music.
